General description | This course addresses the nature of hereditary material and its organization into chromosomes and genomes; the processes of replication, transcription and translation; the phenomena of gene mutation, gene recombination and DNA repair, and their role in the generation of new genetic variation; the regulation of gene expression and its involvement in cell differentiation and development. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
