General description | This subject will provide students with the knowledge and skills for the digital processing and representation of information using IT technologies. It will include the structure of an information system, software tools and technologies for information management and electronic editing techniques for the presentation and publication of information using standardized formats. The contents are structured in the following blocks: hypertext and hypermedia, web applications and documents, web content (HTML language), use of PDF and XML formats in electronic editing, other formats in digital editing (text, images, video, etc.) and digitization techniques. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Lecture | Presentation of the subject and the work organization. Theoretical presentations of the different blocks and units of the subject. Explanation of the basic concepts of each topic to facilitate the orientation, preparation and study. |
Practicals using information and communication technologies (ICTs) in computer rooms | Explanation and development of several practical tasks associated with the theory. ULE learning platform will be used. |
Assignments | Documentation and development of works which students have to prepare on a specific topic related to the content of the subject. |

Personal tuition | The tutorships will be carried out using the resources of the ULE learning platform (Virtual tutorships: chat, forum, email.). They can also be carried out in person during the week upon request by the student, or in tutorships established by the teacher and agreed with the student. |

Other comments and second call | |||
To pass the subject, it is necessary to achieve, at least, half of the percentage in both CONTINUOUS EVALUATION and the FINAL EXAM. The final exams will be performed in January (ordinary exam) and February (extraordinary exam). The dates will be approved and published by the Faculty of Philosophy on the following website: http://www.filosofiayletras.unileon.es/ These exams will be carried out using the SMOWL proctoring tool and students must follow specific instructions published on the learning platform regarding its use and the behavior allowed during the exam. Note that there will be no on-site teaching and students will be evaluated according to the regulations for the presence of Degrees in extinction. EXTRAORDINARY
