General description The subject aims to introduce students to control engineering. Software tools are used for the analysis and design of control systems, establishing a theoretical-practical relationship to understand how control systems are implemented in the industry and which technologies are used.

Block I: DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF SYSTEMS Topic 1: INTRODUCTION
Analysis of linear systems. Modeling of physical systems.

Topic 2: TIME DOMAIN ANALYSIS
Introduction to time-domain analysis of systems. Stability. Classification of systems according to their order. Higher-order systems.
Block II: FEEDBACK SYSTEMS Topic 1: FEEDBACK AND EFFECTS ON STABILITY AND DYNAMICS
Steady-state analysis. Definition and calculation of errors. Transient regime analysis. Stability analysis. Modeling and simulation of feedback systems.

Topic 2: CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN
Introduction to control system design. PID controller design.
Block III: TECHNOLOGICAL IMPLEMENTATION Topic 1: PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLERS.
Introduction. Hardware and software of a PLC. PLC programming. Implementation of a PID control loop with a programmable logic controller.
