General description The history and concepts of sustainable development will be taught, and students will be introduced to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their ongoing expansion (e.g. the World in 2050 initiative). Students will be able to understand and differentiate between the various concepts of sustainability and sustainable development, have a basic understanding of the key components, i.e. the areas of the 17 SDGs, such as climate change, poverty reduction and inequality, and be able to integrate sustainable development considerations into project planning and evaluation.
