General description Students learn (1) the theoretical foundation of spatial data analysis, (2) geostatistical model building and estimation, (3) application of geostatistical methods for the estimation of natural resources/reserves, (4) the evaluation of model assumptions of different estimation and simulation methods (5) how to conduct a resource/reserve estimation in a simple case study. Students will be trained with tools used in geostatistics, sampling, modelling and estimation and in the use of standards for reporting resources and reserves, such as CRIRSCO and JORC.
