General description This course covers the historical, ontological, and axiological respects inseparably linked to the properly ethical ones that make up its subject. The structure of the syllabus consists of four parts. The first one is an historical and thematic introduction, the second deals with the relationships between Bioethics, Ontology, and Axiology, the third with Biotechnology as a transformation of nature, and the fourth and last with Biotechnology and human values. The Bioethics here advanced is understood as an evaluative theory of human action that directly addresses the issues posed by the most recent Biotechnology, as a transformative intervention in the world of living beings. "
