General description Description of the enzymes. Enzymes as catalysts. Studies of the active center and the responsible factors for the catalytic efficience of enzymes. Enzyme purification and enzyme assays. Enzyme kinetics and analysis of the kinetic data. Control of enzyme activity: effect of pH, temperature, inhibitors and activators. Control of enzymatic activity by conformational changes induced by ligand: allosteric enzymes.
