General description The course is designed to give an overview of the mechanisms of genetic manipulation of microorganisms using the recombinant DNA technology. Different methods will be described for the cloning and expression of genes, in vitro mutagenesis, gene disruption, production and purification of recombinant proteins  in both Escherichia coli and other species of interest in biotechnology.
