General description | Virology is a huge subject and we intend to make an overview moving form the most general aspects to more specific topics. Lectures will include (i) the history of virology; (ii) details of virus infection, (iii) tools used in the study of viruses; (iv) a detailed information of the viral groups based on Baltimore clasification and finally (v) the application of virus to the new technologies (biotecnology of virus). Practicals in laboratory would be based on phage particles determination, and infection/identification of different phages for different host. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
