General description | This course is an introduction to the fundamentals of property law. The course provides students with the analytical and conceptual tools which are of essence in actual legal practice. Particular attention is paid to the fundamental concepts of patrimony and asset and to the detailed study of each of the rights in rem: (1) possession and very particularly, ownership by virtue of possession; (2) property as the paramount right in rem, including acquisition, protection and extinction; (3) the different varieties of property (joined real estate property, intellectual property and other special rights of property); (4) limited rights in rem or dismembered property rights (usufruct, servitude, leasehold | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
