General description "To know the constitutive elements of Spanish language and the main stages of its history, as well as the evolution of the vocalic and consonantal systems from the Latin to the Spanish, through the primitive peninsular dialects. To acquire abilities to explain, in a practical way, the evolution of the vocables of the primitive peninsular dialects and current Spanish ones. Historical grammar and diachronic linguistics. Factors of the linguistic evolution. The pre-roman languages: Basque language. Constitutive elements of Spanish language. Latin language. Hellenisms. Germanic invasions. Moslem invasion. Gallicisms. Italianisms. Amaricanisms. Others. Evolution of Latin vowels and consonants. Geographic varieties of Spanish language: Mozarabic, Leonese, Aragonese, Andalusian, Latin-American and Judaeo-Spanish languages. Transit speech: Extremenian, Riojan, Murcian and Canarian languages.
