General description	We analyse the History of the most important Spanish christian kingdom from 9th to the beginning of 13th centuries. This Kingdom was also known in European chroniclers as an "Empire". León created the first "Cortes" (parlamentarian system) of Medieval Europe and had a society prepared for war against the Islam at the same time that its Kings protected the rights of their vassals. Its special charachteristics define a Kingdom between Dark Ages and the first Renaissance, between slavery and feudal system and parlamentarian models. "
