Awareness of the basic concepts of metrics and rhetoric. In the case of rhetoric, these will be fundamentally those referring to "elocutio". Capacity to analyse texts for metre and rhetorical devices. Metrics. Basic concepts of general metrics. Versification systems. Elements of verse. Classes of verse. Stanzas. "Elocutio" in rhetoric. Figures and tropes. Metrical and rhetorical analysis. " |
