General description	This subject deals with four related branches: semantics, lexicology, lexicography and terminology and their main applications. Apart from other key concepts and terms in the subject, the basic unit of study, the word, is approached from paradigmatic, syntagmatic and diasystematic perspectives. Emphasis is placed on the description of sense relations, on the study of word fomation processes and on getting students familiar with the new technologies used in dictionary-making. "
