Objetivos
"To offer a comprehensive historical survey of seventeenth century, eighteenth century and Romantic English Literature, its major movements, writers and works. To train the students in a critical approach to some of the key texts of these periods." "

Metodologías
The course is mainly taught in lectures and seminars. Students are expected to participate actively throughout the course. The course format includes lectures and workshops (75%). The remaining workload (25 %) will be out-of-class. "

"Students are expected to do different types of practical assignments during the year, including oral reports, class presentations, group discussions and a tutored term paper of about 4000 words. A final exam will be given in June. Critical ability, knowledge of the subject matter and correct use of English will be valued. final exam: 50 %. paper: 25 %. participation: 25 %. For all other ´convocatorias´ than June assessment will be based exclusively on the final exam (100%)." "
