Time in class (75% of workload) will be devoted to lectures on selected issues of the contents of the above syllabus and to practical work, among which the analysis of textual evidence from the relevant periods will be a substantial part. It will require the students' previous individual preparation (25% of out-of-class 'no presencial' workload) and subsequent active participation in the sessions devoted to practice throughout the year. The texts and other supplementary materials will be made available periodically during the course.
