Introduction to English-Spanish specialized translation: technical/scientific texts. The course includes general issues on the features of this particular text type, the communicative context in which these texts occur, their intentionality, etc. Particular attention is placed on terminology, information retrieval and computerised tools available for technical/scientific translation. Students will be required to carry out several translation assignments involving technical/scientific texts. " |
