Metodologías
Most of the class time will be devoted to the analysis, translation and evaluation of original texts in English. Apart from a theoretical introduction to the subject presented in a few preliminary expository lessons and a summary of concepts at the end of the course, most relevant terms and issues for the discipline will be exposed during the activities (´learning-through-doing´ activities) so as to illustrate the topics with actual examples as in a kind of inductive method. Otras actividades
Work with parallel texts (texts in English with their corresponding translations in Spanish): Alternatively, instead of asking students to translate, they will be given some ´ready-made´ translations so that they can evaluate their quality and comment on the choices made by the translator. "
