General description Conceived as an introduction to the Applied Linguistics, this multidisciplinary subject tries to approach the student to the solutions of language-related problems. Applied linguistics involves language education, language policy and planning, specialized occupational languages, speech therapy, language acquisition, computational linguistics, translation and interpreting, etc.
