  Description
Problem solving, classroom exercises Real-world business problems and exercises will be proposed to foster diverse learning and contribute to the development of various competencies through their resolution. Sometimes, they will be solved individually and other times in groups; sometimes within the classroom and sometimes outside; some will be submitted in writing while others will be orally resolved during the class, and they may be part of the continuous assessment of the subject.
Case study Cases invite discussions on real situations in the business world, aiming to enhance students' analytical skills. Cases will be conducted in groups, where each student will first work on the case individually, then discuss the solution with their group peers, and draw conclusions. Sometimes case resolutions will be submitted in writing to the professor, while others will be orally resolved during the class, and they may be part of the continuous assessment of the subject.
Assignments Students will be grouped into teams to carry out a monographic work related to the theoretical contents of the subject program (the number of members will be decided by the professor). The assignments will be carried out throughout the semester outside the classroom - non-face-to-face activity - under the supervision and support of the professor. At the end, they must be submitted in writing on time, aiming to promote teamwork, debate, and group discussion.
Lecture For each topic, the professor will: (1) present the main objectives of the topic (providing students beforehand with the material presented in class, as well as possible readings for further study); (2) explain the most important aspects of the topic; (3) encourage active participation of students, alternating between lecturing and dialogue intervals with the professor; (4) discuss recommended bibliography and supplementary materials for further understanding; and finally, (5) students should supplement the professor's explanations with systematic study of the recommended bibliography and supplementary materials for each topic.

Mixed tests
Description
Individual tutoring sessions will be conducted, both in-person (in professors' offices) and virtually (via email or the forum on the Moodle institutional platform), so that students of the subject can raise doubts or make inquiries about the theoretical-practical contents of the subject, or about the various group and individual assignments they have to carry out throughout the semester. As for collective tutoring, optional sessions may be held for carrying out complementary activities if necessary.

Assessment
  Description Qualification
Assignments Regarding the completion of group work, the following aspects will be specially evaluated:
• Originality: The work will ONLY be graded if it is unpublished and original. In case of plagiarism, the grade will be 0 points.
• Structure of the work
• Breadth and depth of the company analysis
• Writing the text with accuracy, conciseness, and clarity
• Bibliographic quality

It will account for 10% of the subject grade. All members of each group will receive the same grade for this activity. The completion of this activity is mandatory.
10%
Mixed tests • First partial: Theoretical-practical written test to be conducted in the classroom mid-semester (35% of the final grade).
• Second partial: Theoretical-practical written test to be conducted in the classroom at the end of the semester (35% of the final grade).

They will account for 70% of the final grade of the subject.
70%
Others Continuous Assessment: Attendance with achievement will be valued, as well as the active participation of the student in various practical activities (case resolution, solving exercises and problems, oral presentations, etc.) that will be requested throughout the semester.

It will account for 20% of the final grade of the subject. To add this score, the mixed tests must be passed.

Other comments and second call

Requirements to pass the subject:

  1. Students must have a grade in both written tests (first and second partial), otherwise, they will be listed in the 1st Call Records as Not Present.

  2. Students must achieve at least an average score of 5 out of 10 on the written tests (otherwise, the Continuous Assessment score will not be added);

  3. Considering that all evaluative aspects will be scored out of a maximum of 10 points, after applying the corresponding weights, the resulting final grade must be equal to or higher than 5. Inappropriate attitudes or behaviors in the classroom may be penalized by reducing this grade.

Students who do NOT participate in Group Work and/or Continuous Assessment activities will receive a score of 0 points for them when calculating the final grade of the subject.

Those students who in the 1st call have not achieved a minimum average score of 5 points in the written tests, or, having achieved it, do not reach a final grade of 5, may take the 2nd ordinary call.

2nd Ordinary Call:

A written test on the entirety of the theoretical-practical contents of the program, which will account for 70% of the final grade and will be conducted on the date officially established by the Center. A minimum score of 4.5 out of 10 in this test will be required to pass the subject. To determine the final grade of the 2nd call, the grades obtained by the student in the 1st call in the other activities will be retained: Group Work and Continuous Assessment (in this latter case, the grades will only be added when a minimum score of 4.5 in the test has been achieved). As in the 1st call, the final grade obtained in the 2nd call must be equal to or higher than 5 to pass the subject.

December Call:

In the December call, a written test on the entirety of the theoretical-practical contents of the program will be conducted, with a minimum score of 5 out of 10 required to pass the subject (theory will represent 60% of the final grade and practice 40%).

Other comments:

During any evaluation test, handling any material related to the subject – notes, books, folders, etc. – is not allowed, except for foreign language students, who may use a dictionary. In addition, the possession and use of any mobile and/or electronic device are strictly prohibited. The mere possession of any unauthorized material or such devices during evaluation tests will result in the immediate withdrawal from the exam, the student's expulsion, and a grade of Fail, duly notifying the incident to the Academic Authority of the Center to carry out the actions provided for in the Guidelines for Action in Cases of Plagiarism, Copying, or Fraud in Examinations or Evaluation Tests, approved by the Permanent Commission of the Governing Council of January 29, 2015.

In case of detecting fraud, copying, or plagiarism during the celebration of any evaluation test, the professor will request the student to deliver the exam and corresponding materials, proceeding to withdraw them and place them in plain view of all attendees on the Professor's table of the corresponding classroom. At the end of the test, the Professor will inform the Academic Authority of the Center of the incidents so that they can carry out the actions provided for in the Guidelines for Action in Cases of Plagiarism, Copying, or Fraud in Examinations or Evaluation Tests, approved by the Permanent Commission of the Governing Council of January 29, 2015.
