General description | Third part of the Microeconomic sequence. In the first half of the course, we analyze models of market power such as monopoly, oligopsony and monopolistic competition. . We introduce Game Theory as the analytical tool required for an advanced analysis of these and similar topics where strategic interaction is relevant. In the second half of the course we sketch the analysis of models with uncertainty and assymetric information. Graphical analysis is the main analytical tool. However, mathematical representations of the main models are discussed too. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
