General description This course aims to study how international economic relations are organized and which is the structure and operations of international economic organizations. For this, it is crucial to study the context of globalization where economic activity takes place and critically analyze the performance and the result of the policies of international economic organizations.

Methodologies   ::  
  Description
Assignments During the course students will be ask to prepare one or several presentations about certain topics related to the subject contents.
Personal tuition Scheduled meetings with the teacher, individually or in groups, to ask questions or solve doubts and discuss any unresolved point. Personalized tuition may be carried out using Moodle, mainly Forums.
Lecture The lecture is the presentation of the subject contents to the class with the aim of providing structured and organized information. For this purpose, oral expositions can be reinforced by diverse materials and audiovisual didactic methods as to facilitate communication. Cases and conflicts will be presented to the students to encourage their active participation. In order to be able to participate actively in the classroom sessions, students should previously work on the materials, bibliography or resources that had been recommended by the teacher.

Assessment

Assignments Performance during the groundwork of the groups assignments, and quality of the result (content and presentation) will be taken into account. 20%
Mixed tests Written exams to evaluate knowledge about the concepts dealt with in the subject 65%
Others Completion of homework and continuous and active class attendance will be valued, as well as participation in debates. Likewise, interest in and monitoring of economic and social current affairs will be considered, especially in those topics related to the subject. 15%
 
Other comments and second call

The assessmentof the subject will be carried out over a total of 10 points.

To pass thecourse, students must achieve a minimum score of 4 out of 10 in each of thewritten tests and 5 out of 10 in the overall grade for the subject.

Thosestudents not reaching the minimum mark of 4 in any of the tests or who, havingachieved it, do not reach an average mark that allows them to pass the subject,must retake the corresponding written tests in the Second Ordinary Call inorder to improve their final grade.

In theSecond Ordinary Call, a written test (6.5 points) will be carried out on thecontents not passed in the ones took during the ordinary teaching period, theresult of which will be added to that obtained in the rest of the assesseditems. This written test will be taken on the date appointed by the SchoolCalendar and by the Faculty.

In theExtraordinary Call of December, students will take a written test (10 points) onthe date established by the School Calendar and the Faculty.
