General description | This subject belongs to the broad field of English for Specific Purposes (ESP). Laboratory practicals | Short term seminaries at the Language Lab and at the computer classroom, in which students will practice both pronunciation and phonetics and electronic resources and web pages available for research and application to the different contents of the course. |
Personal tuition | Individual assesment tutorials for students, aimed to develop some complementary training activities lead by the teacher, oriented to answer questions and help in the planning and development of both personal and group work. |
Problem solving, classroom exercises | Group sessions with teacher support and supervision, aimed to discuss and solve some of the proposed exercises and tasks, as well as the contents previously worked by the students. |
Tutorship of group | Scheduled tutorial time programmed by the teacher in small groups or individually, depending on the number of registered studentsin the subject and the teaching load of work. In these sessions, doubts about theoretical and practical aspects of the subject, as well as other content related issues, will be clarified. |

“Durante el desarrollo de las pruebas no se permitirá manejar ningún material a excepción del previamente indicado y permitido por el profesor. Queda terminantemente prohibida la tenencia y el uso de dispositivos móviles y/o electrónicos durante la celebración de las pruebas. La simple tenencia de dichos dispositivos así como de apuntes, libros, carpetas o materiales diversos no autorizados durante las pruebas de evaluación, supondrá la retirada inmediata del examen, su expulsión del mismo y su calificación como suspenso, comunicándose la incidencia a la Autoridad Académica del Centro para que realice las actuaciones previstas en las Pautas de Actuación en los Supuestos de Plagio, Copia o Fraude en Exámenes o Pruebas de Evaluación, aprobadas por la Comisión Permanente del Consejo de Gobierno de 29 de enero de 2015”. Los alumnos que no alcancen la nota mínima requerida en cualquiera de las Task Essays y/o Presentaciones Orales de la asignatura que conforman la evaluación ordinaria (Primera Convocatoria), deberán repetir dichas partes en la Segunda Convocatoria de la asignatura. Suspender de nuevo cualquiera de dichas partes en la Segunda Convocatoria significará suspender la asignatura completa. Los alumnos que no se presenten a la evaluación ordinaria de la asignatura durante el semestre de clases, y vayan directamente a la Segunda Convocatoria, deberán presentarse y aprobar TODAS las secciones que componen la asignatura. Las partes correspondientes a asistencia a clase y Phonetic sessions (sobre 1 punto en total) no podrán ser recuperadas en la Segunda Convocatoria. Respecto a los alumnos que se presenten a la "Convocatoria Extraordinaria de Diciembre", se realizará un único examen, que incluirá todas las partes que componen la asignatura. Las partes correspondientes a asistencia a clase y Phonetic sessions (sobre 1 punto en total) no podrán ser recuperadas en la Convocatoria Extraordinaria de Diciembre. |
