General description The course introduces the field of automatic control The first module presents the general concepts related with the automatic system behavior from a point of view of software-hardware interaction. The second module introduces the acquisition and signal processing instruments and their interaction with control systems. The next modules present a general view of industrial and programmable logic controllers, which covers their architecture and programming. Different control strategies are presented. Finally, the last module reviews the application of software for automation, control and monitoring.
