Topic 2: BASIC CONCEPTS OF AIR NAVIGATION
Concept and methods of Air Navigation. Basic terminology. Wind triangle. Measurement units. Visual and instrumental conditions. The Earth: reference systems. Terrestrial magnetism. Time. NATO phonetic alphabet.
Block II: BASIC FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS. ALTIMETRY IN AIR NAVITAGION Topic 1: BASIC FLIGHT INSTRUMENTS. ALTIMETRY
Pitot-static system. Gyroscope. Compass. Direction indicator. Anemometer. Altimeter. Variometer. Attitude indicator. Turn coordinator. The International Standard Atmosphere. Height indication. Settings.

System architecture. Air Navigation Services. Aeronautical communications. Propagation. Concept of Air Navigation Support System. Operationl capabilities. Classification and evolution of systems. Positioning in the airspace.
Block V: TERRESTRIAL, AUTONOMOUS AND SPACE NAVIGATION SYSTEMS Topic 1: TERRESTRIAL SYSTEMS
Terrestrial systems:NDB, VOR,DME, ILS and MLS. Radioelectric easements, flight test and maintenance. Reference normative. Characteristic errors. Precision dilution.

Topic 2: AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS
Autonomous systems. Doppler Navigation System. Radio altimeter. Inertial Navigation System. Dead reckoning positioning.

Topic 3: SPACE SYSTEMS
Space systems. GPS, GLONASS and GALILEO systems. SBAS, GBAS and ABS augmentation systems. EGNOS system.
Block VI: SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS Topic 1: SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMS
Surveillance systems. Primary and secondary radar. Automatic Dependent Surveillance (ADS).
