  Description
Problem solving, classroom exercises They are necessary in the teaching process to reinforce the theoretical classes and to promote the ability to synthesise. For this reason, those subjects in which it is not possible to develop a practical class as such will be taken into account in the design of the teaching in order to find alternatives to reinforce the theory by means of, for example, the business treatment of the subject in question or the differences depending on the sector of activity. The practical classes will therefore be oriented towards the resolution of practical, real cases or cases similar to those that usually occur in any system of occupational risk prevention, taking into account, where appropriate, the particularities of the profession and the sector.
Assignments The work carried out by the students will be related to the prevention systems of the companies, taking into account the particularities of the profession and the competences of the engineer.
Personal tuition The tutorials will take place at the agreed place, date and time, but are not compulsory.
Lecture The expository methodology on the theoretical aspects of the subject will be combined with the active participation of the students and the inter-functionality, where appropriate, with the rest of the subjects. Theoretical classes are the main means of transmission to the student and for this reason special attention must be paid to. They consist of an orderly presentation, as complete as possible, of the syllabus of the subject, with the master class being the technique used. The lecture should include an introduction, objectives, the presentation, summary and conclusions. The introduction should connect with the previously exposed topics and/or facilitate the opening of future lines of work. The objectives should set out the goals to be pursued and, if possible, indicators for their achievement. The longest part will be the presentation. The summary and conclusions should be used to emphasise key ideas and link, where appropriate, to practical applications.

Assessment
  Description Qualification
Problem solving, classroom exercises Within the continuous assessment system, the assessment of problem solving and exercises will determine the set of skills acquired for the practical application of theoretical concepts on practical cases. In this section, attendance and active participation during the teaching period is required. 15 %
Assignments The continuous assessment system integrates the grading of the work presented by the students, taking into consideration the content, the presentation, the student's contributions and their alignment with the objectives. Attendance at the lectures is required in order to know the lines of action of the proposed work or practice requested.
15 %
Extended-answer tests It will be oriented towards the qualification of theoretical and theoretical-practical concepts and the skills acquired for their application. This evaluation is articulated through written exams carried out on dates agreed with the students. 70 %

Other comments and second call

The qualification of the subject includes:

Continuous assessment of the student, encouraging participation and the completion of tasks throughout the lectures with an educational continuity in the practices and technical reports requested within the established framework of competences (30%).

Passing written tests on theoretical and theoretical-practical concepts, valuing the capacity for synthesis and written expression (70%). The dates will be agreed with the students.

SECOND SITTING.

For the evaluation of the second call, it is necessary to hand in to the teacher all the reports, practices and works requested during the lectures. The evaluation will be carried out by means of a written exam on the theoretical and practical contents of the teaching period. The exam will have a maximum grade of 70% of the final mark, which will be completed with 30% related to reports, practices and work presented and the student's participation during the lectures.

EXTRAORDINARY EXAMS (DECEMBER).

The evaluation will be carried out by means of a written exam on the theoretical and practical contents belonging to the previous year's teaching period, updated to the possible substantial thematic modifications that may have taken place up to the date of the exam. The result of the examination shall be the student's qualification. The possible demand of additional requirements of importance to be able to access this call will be communicated with sufficient advance notice through the institutional Moodle.
