General description This course covers three major areas: sampling designs and statistics, forest inventory, dendrometry and elementary forest growth and yield. Sampling techniques include simple random sampling, systematic sampling, stratified random sampling, regression and ration estimation, and double sampling or two-phase sampling. For forest inventory, applications of sample strips, plots, and points will be discussed. Growth and yield will introduce individual tree and stand dynamics, reconstruction of tree growth, measures of site productivity, and concepts and applications of growth and yield models "
