General description	The objetives of this materia are: learn the basis and fundamentals of botany in engineering: vegetative and reproductive features and terminology useful in the identification of the plant organisms, the most relevant physiological processes in plants (Photosynthesis, the utilization of mineral elements, water relations, growth and development) Recognisement of the common groups of organisms (mushrooms, lichens, mosses, ferns, ...) with great importance in forestry.

	Description	Qualification
Laboratory practicals		Su peso relativo será del 40% de la calificación final. No se superará el examen con una nota inferior a 5,0.
Assignments		Su peso relativo será del 10% de la calificación final. No se superará el trabajo con una nota inferior a 5,0.
Mixed tests		Las pruebas teóricas de evaluación continua equivaldrán al 50% de la calificación final. La nota media obtenida en las pruebas ha de ser igual o superior a 5,0 para superar la parte teórica; Para calcular la nota media sólo se permitirá haber suspendido una de las pruebas con nota mínima de 4,0.
