AIMS

- To enable students to cope with the normal classroom use of English.

- To develop students' skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking English so that they can carry out general communicative tasks at an intermediate level.

- To provide students with background knowledge on teaching methods of English as a Foreign Language for Spanish primary students.

Objetivos


AIMS

Unit 1: Conversations. Question forms; question tags; present perfect and past simple (1). How to keep a conversation going. Writing informal e-mails.
Unit 2: Travelling. Means of transport. Types of journey. Comparatives and modifiers. Superlatives. Present simple and continuous. Adjectives describing journeys. Compound
nouns. How to make a complaint. Writing postcards.
Unit 3. Music and stages in your life. Likes and dislikes. Present perfect and past simple (2). Verb + noun collocation. How to talk about your past.
Unit 4. TV and DVDs. Facial actions. Food and drink. Modal verbs: 'would', 'could'/ 'might'. Uses of 'will'. Expressing your opinion. Synonyms. How to make a phone call.
Confirming arrangements by e-mail.
Unit 5. Supermarkets. Adjectives and adverbs. Obligation and permission. Uses of 'get'. Suggesting solutions for problems. Giving instructions. How to explain what to do.
Writing information sheets.
