Throughout this course, which involves methodology and language learning, the students are encouraged to draw on their individual experience and linguistic resources.
The syllabus is a negotiated, content-based one which takes into account the students' linguistic, cultural and learning needs, their interests and their expectations.
In particular, this course aims to develop students' skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing the English language in order to be able to carry out general communicative tasks relevant to their interests and needs at an upper intermediate level of proficiency.
This course also aims to help students become effective learners and take on responsibility for their own learning.

Bloque Tema
SECTION I. The course primarily involves the integration of all four skills as well as grammar and vocabulary in the development of students' communicative ability in terms of linguistic competence, socio-linguistic competence, discourse competence, strategic competence, socio-cultural competence and social competence.

In learning how to teach young learners the course content includes: skills development; developing confidence and motivation; grammar in the young learner classroom; reading with young learners; developing writing skills; multiple-choice tasks; using dictionaries; developing listening skills; following instructions; developing speaking skills; developing pronunciation.
