General description The course aims to provide a vision of man as a social and political related to other beings in the political community where he lives and lives with others. It will cover specific aspects such as the existence of a moral and political pluralism, the rights and duties of the citizen participation in democratic societies, citizens in a global society and the political, economic and cultural in a society of XXI century in constant transformation. Within the block of Basic Training, occupies a central place among those other matters related to understanding the phenomenon of education and family background, social and cultural context in which this phenomenon occurs. None of this is understood without a consideration of the values ​​on which it is intended to educate. Pretend to be a teacher in a multicultural society, living on the other hand, in an acute crisis of values ​​and risk permanent situation of ideological indoctrination, requires a reflection on important issues such as the values ​​necessary for peaceful coexistence and tolerance, respect for the differences, non-violent resolution of conflict, conquest of greater levels of equality, democracy, solidarity and free and responsible participation in society.
