General description This course is an introduction to the main varieties of Spanish. It will deal with regional, social and style differences on the present-day language. Special emphasis will be set on young people`s way of speaking and on informal register features. The course will also approach methodological aspects concerning what Spanish should be taught and how to introduce language variation in the classroom of Spanish as a second language.
