General description | The isolated organ technique is a useful tool to evaluate the pharmacological activity of a molecule in tissue receptors or channels. In this course, we will work on the basic concepts necessary to carry out a research project based on functional studies using the brain as an isolated organ model. In addition, the intention is to integrate the used methodology with biochemical and physiological concepts to allow for the student´s maximum understanding. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
